Mariel

Mariel is the Earth Witch, though that is soon to end as being the Earth Witch only lasts seven years. By going to a special cave, she can see visions in a magical pool. Her apprenticeship under the Earth Witch ends in a year and she hopes to become a teacher and healer in Forralan. She has two students, Veryl and Niza. Despite everything, thought she still loves Evan, even though she fears what being with him would mean. When he asked the earth to help him, she did as he asked and the earth agreed. She even accepted her fate. However, he dropped the stone sword, losing his arm and sight. When he wakes up, Marel tells Evan that he is the new Earth Witch for the next seven years, but then they could maybe be together.
